Conservation is an essential but often invisible work in museums. It is characterized by complex decision-making processes. What is conserved and how? What can be exhibited and in what way? What are the perspectives of the international partners? Referring to five different exponents, the exhibition provides insights into current issues and working methods of conservation. Audio texts by pubils from the Carl-Friedrich-von-Siemens-Gymnasium in Berlin-Spandau offer creative additional perspectives on the exponents.

The exhibition is funded by the Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media), the Bundesministerium des Innern, für Bau und Heimat (Federal Ministry of the Interior) and the Land Berlin (State of Berlin).
A special exhibition by the Stiftung Humboldt Forum with the Ethnologisches Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin at the Humboldt Forum
