To mark the 25th anniversary of Wolfgang Peuker's death, the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank is honoring his artistic legacy with the exhibition "Klasse in Weißensee! Wolfgang Peuker and his students". Peuker was not only an important player in the art scene of the GDR, but as a professor at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin he also influenced the following generations of artists.

The Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank is showing late works by the virtuoso painter, who always commented critically on current events in his paintings, and is also presenting four of his best-known students: Stefanie Hillich, Sibylle Prange, Philipp Schack and Christian Thoelke.

The exhibition is a collaboration between the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank and the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, which celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2026.
