How does paper change through pressure, tension, and movement? In this workshop, we explore bending as a creative tool for developing sculptural surfaces and spatial forms. Curves, tension, and soft transitions give rise to organic structures that exist between flat surface and object. Through experimental work with different types of paper, we investigate stability, lightness, and the interaction of light, shadow, and movement. The focus is on open experimentation and a conscious awareness of materiality and form.
