From the 1970s onwards, the bodies of migrant women increasingly became the focal point of racist public debates. In response, migrant women from different backgrounds and social classes in Kreuzberg and West Berlin formed alliances to fight for independent residency rights, political participation and gender equality. Moderated by Elisabeth Kimmerle, this panel discussion with Aso Agace, Kook-Nam Cho-Ruwwe and Serpil Yeter explores these networks and forms of self-organisation, as well as the artistic and political strategies they developed and their legacy for contemporary intersectional struggles.
