Hosted liveIn 1915, Albert Einstein gave his first public lecture on his General Theory of Relativity in what is now the Einstein Hall of the Archenhold Observatory (Archenhold-Sternwarte). This guided tour takes you in the footsteps of arguably the world’s most famous scientist, whose theories fundamentally changed the prevailing worldview and our understanding of space, time, and gravity. Through selected museum objects, his reconstructed study, and an immersive short program in the planetarium, you will learn in a vivid, engaging manner, up close, who Einstein was as a person and a research scientist, what connected him to our observatory, and why his revolutionary ideas continue to shape our understanding of the universe to this day.
