From Pencils to Paints to Model Building
Creative activities for kids during fall break: Equipped with drawing supplies, a handcart, and folding chairs, we’ll explore the area around the Berlinische Galerie together. On these outings, you’ll look for places that seem particularly dreary or unpleasant to you and sketch them using various graphite pencils. In the studio, you’ll develop colorful alternative designs based on your sketches. To do this, you’ll use various watercolor techniques that you can experiment with. A highlight of our workshop is a visit to the exhibition featuring the famous architect Josef Kaiser, a specialist in built visions of the future. Afterward, you’ll have the chance to try out your own architectural ideas in three dimensions through sustainable model-making using egg cartons. You’ll present your results to your families and friends on the last day of the workshop!
