Numerous animals and plants, with their multifaceted symbolism, have had a profound influence on the arts throughout the centuries. Dogs and cats, for instance, as well as trees and roses, feature in a variety of ways in the works of the Old Masters. In these tandem tours, landscape architect Ursula Müller and art historian Thomas R. Hoffmann demonstrate how flora and fauna were depicted by artists of past centuries.
