Tour with art mediator

On the occasion of the exhibition: "Aesthetics as a political strategy"

In this public tour, art educators provide insights into the exhibition. Using representative works from the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art, the artistic transformations in the former Yugoslavia under Tito between 1945 and 1960 are traced, which led to the coexistence of state-oriented, figurative art and free, abstract forms of expression. The focus is on artists who sought their own expression between political control and artistic freedom.

The mediators moderate the tour from different perspectives and use the artworks as a starting point for a joint discussion with the visitors.
