Susan Hiller – 'Bad Dreams' and Rafik Greiss – 'The City and the City'

Join us for a tour of our exhibitions! On all three dates, our experienced art mediators will guide you through Susan Hiller – Bad Dreams and Rafik Greiss – The City and the City.

Bad Dreams is the first survey of British artist Susan Hiller (b. 1940, USA – d. 2019, UK) in Berlin, a city that shaped her practice in the early 2000s. The exhibition delves into the artist’s enduring yet strikingly contemporary investigation into how our personal and collective imaginaries are shaped by and revealed through images and objects, mass media, and popular culture. 

The City and the City is Egyptian artist Rafik Greiss’s (b. 1997, IE) first institutional solo exhibition and the premiere of the artist's newly commissioned film. Working across film, photography, and sculpture, Greiss considers time not as a linear movement from past to present but as something composed of fragments – moments that accumulate, dissolve, and may unexpectedly resurface as sensation or afterimage. 

Tours are offered alternately in German and English.
