How do I create a budget that aligns with my artistic concept? What do I need to keep in mind? Which fixed items must be included in every budget, what general guidelines apply, and how can I maintain freedom for the creative process?This workshop offers tips and guidance specifically for dance professionals who are creating a funding plan for a grant application for the first time, but dance professionals who have already submitted initial applications are also welcome. Using a fictional collaborative dance project as a basis, we’ll create a cost and funding plan, followed by time for individual questions.

Selina Glockner (she/her) is the Artistic Director of the tilted collective, alongside Alba Scharnhorst. As a freelance choreographer and performer, she creates projects at the intersection of dance and object theater. She also serves as Artistic Production Manager for the Theater der Dinge festival. As part of the leadership team for the “Tanznetz Niedersachsen” project—funded by the Tanzpakt Stadt Land Bund—she develops and implements initiatives to sustainably strengthen production structures in the independent dance scene. Selina Glockner combines artistic “on-stage” and organizational “backstage” perspectives in her own practice and loves the balancing act between the office and the stage.
