The Trek – Displacement and Expulsion through the Lens of personal Stories

TELEPHONE GUIDANCE

To mark the anniversary, we shed light on the flight and expulsion of around 14 million Germans from the Eastern Reich and Eastern European settlement areas. They had to leave their homeland under extreme conditions. We will take you into the exhibition by telephone and describe selected objects that illustrate the fates of individuals and families. It is about experiences of flight and expulsion and the path to an uncertain future.

This time, the focus is on our special exhibition "The trek - photographs of a flight in 1945", which focuses in particular on Hanns Tschira's photographic documentation of the flight from the Silesian village of Lübchen
