The sound of hunting horns: hunting fanfares at royal and imperial court hunts

Guided tour with hunter Roland Tillmann and castle staff member Magdalena Lauche, SPSG

Friedrich I. bei der Jagd in Wusterhausen

Friedrich I. bei der Jagd in Wusterhausen

For over two centuries, hunting signals rang out at Königs Wusterhausen Palace during royal and later imperial court hunts. While Baroque parforce horns accompanied the hunts in the 18th century under King Frederick William I, the Fürst-Pless horn became an integral part of all hunts from the late 19th century onwards.
