Three-Day Fall Break Workshop: Tue–Thu / Oct. 20–22, 2026 / 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Almost every painting begins with a drawing—then as now. At the Kupferstichkabinett, you’ll discover Baroque drawings that were created as templates for paintings or precious tapestries. Others capture exciting moments—long before cameras existed.

Then it’s your turn: Using ink, brushes, chalk, or pencils, you’ll let your lines take flight. You’ll experiment with hatching, paint with diluted ink, and add color. This is how your own sketches and ideas come to life. Finally, you’ll bind your drawings together into your very own sketchbook.
