On "Sunday in the Nikolai Quarter", live speakers at the Museum Knoblauchhaus will talk about the everyday life of wealthy Berliners two hundred years ago.
The Knoblauch family helped shape Berlin life in the Biedermeier period through silk trading, architecture and the founding of a brewery. Today, their former home is a museum. Objects, pictures, letters and family documents take visitors back to a bygone era. The "Berlin Salon" on the upper floor also presents the metropolitan network of the silk merchant and politician Carl Knoblauch.
On this "Sunday in the Nikolai Quarter", our mediators will offer exclusive and exciting insights into the period between the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815 and the revolution of 1848. They will be happy to answer any questions. In addition, junior curators from the Thomas Mann Gymnasium (Märkisches Viertel) will be available for discussions in the special exhibition "Have a match!" that they have created. There, they will provide insights into their work on love, friendship and partnership then and now.
Note: From 11 am to 4 pm.

Sunday in the Nikolai Quarter

On the first Sunday of every month, we offer a special, wide-ranging program for everyone in our three museums in the Nikolai Quarter. Families in particular are cordially invited - admission is free for anyone under the age of 18 or with a concession. So there's plenty of reason to look forward to great offers at the Ephraim-Palais Museum, the Nikolai Church Museum and the Knoblauchhaus Museum!
Our solidarity pricing model offers free admission for adults with proof of discount, including students, trainees, FSJ, FÖJ and BFD volunteers, severely disabled people, refugees, recipients of citizen's allowance or ALG I and many more. All others only pay the museum entrance fee and can benefit from our discounted combined ticket for all three museums. The extensive action day program is included in the price!
