Corinthium Aes—a very special, almost magical alloy that was already known in Ancient Egypt! For a long time, knowledge of the complex manufacturing process was thought to be lost. Goldsmith Matthias Lehr finally succeeded in reconstructing it.
In this workshop, learn more about the production and properties of this unique alloy, and visit the Neues Museum to view authentic ancient Egyptian artifacts made of the mysterious “black copper.” Afterward, under the guidance of Matthias Lehr, you’ll have the opportunity to design your own jewelry plate using the inlay technique, tailored to your own vision.
