Paul Ronzheimer is one of Germany’s best-known reporters. “I always wanted to be a journalist. The whole business with war and crisis just happened to me.” Since 2014, following the protests on the Maidan, Paul Ronzheimer has been reporting regularly on and from Ukraine. In 2022, he was named Journalist of the Year for his work. That same year, Paul Ronzheimer narrowly survived a Russian attack. It was only days later that he began to realise. “Fear always plays a part. We are completely at the mercy of luck.” As deputy editor-in-chief and war and crisis reporter for BILD, Paul Ronzheimer is deployed worldwide, whether in Iran, Venezuela or Israel.
