As the most comprehensive collection of 19th-century sculptural art, the National Gallery’s collection holds a prominent place within the German museum landscape. The permanent exhibition “Ideal and Form” in the extensively renovated Friedrichswerder Church vividly traces the development of sculpture in the 19th century.
