Schöne blonde Augen

Documentary film (director will be present)

By Simon Brückner & Anna Reinking

A group of actors with intellectual disabilities create a stage play on the theme of birth. The documentary follows their life on a rural farm in Wendland (Germany) and their rehearsals leading up to the premiere at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. The protagonists’ unique perspectives create touching moments of estrangement and poetic intensity. The label “disabled” begins to lose its clarity. A film about love, identity, coming of age, and the power of play.
