She lives in the urban jungle of Berlin with her husband, author Christian Friedrich, and their cat Yazhi. There she also has a studio where she paints and invents stories. Cally’s goal: She wants to write nothing but favorite books. When Cally isn’t writing or painting, she’s often on the road throughout Germany for readings, writing workshops, and creative workshops. She has also been honored with several awards; she is especially proud of the Preuschhof Prize for Children’s Literature, because the jury consisted of over 300 children who chose her book as the best and funniest one.Christian Friedrich is an author with a passion for living and extinct animals. He hasn’t met any aliens yet, though. Instead, he has an exceptionally cute cat who lives with him and his wife, the author Cally Stronk, in Berlin. He studied at the University of Hildesheim, where he also taught various seminars on the topic of humor.
