Sheep in a palace garden in the middle of Berlin? What sounds unusual is really good - for the sheep and for the garden! On this guided tour with two experts, children learn all about the woolly animals and can experience them up close.
Garden manager Andrea Badouin explains the important task of the animal lawnmowers and why they are still not allowed to graze on the well-kept areas around the castle. Shepherdess Hannah Becker introduces the animals and explains how the flock moves between their winter quarters and the castle garden every year, what they experience there and how she looks after them. Anyone who wants to can make contact with the sheep, feed them and learn how to remove the animals' wool. Lilly, Hannah Becker's herding dog in training, is always there.
The program lasts about one and a half to two hours and is designed for children. We offer a guided tour for adults at 2 pm under the title "Meadows, pastures, wool". Please note that there are only limited parking spaces available in the area around the castle gardens. We recommend traveling by public transport.Translated with DeepL
