Public Workshop: Colored Shadows on Paper

Get Creative in the Garden

Farbige Schatten auf Papier

Farbige Schatten auf Papier

We want to explore the plant life of the Botanical Garden through art and capture it in poetic images—using plant-based pigments on paper. We’ll use the technique of shadow painting: shadows from nature will be transformed, as if by magic, into original, expressionistic, or very subtly colored still lifes. We’ll paint with natural pigments, some of which we’ll make ourselves. Let’s bring the shadows to life with color together!

Materials will be provided; no prior experience is required.
