We immerse ourselves in a kind of vegetation that is otherwise inaccessible in Berlin. Behind the glass, palm trees, ferns, and vines thrive, accompanied by warm, humid air and the sound of flowing water. In the historic greenhouses, the greenery reaches all the way up to the domes. A place that offers solace even in winter, when the trees outside are bare and dormant.
Forest bathing, known as Shinrin Yoku in Japanese, refers to consciously spending time among trees with all your senses. It’s not a sport, nor is it about performance.
