When the powder magazine exploded in 1813, the whole of Spandau was shocked. The Queen's Bastion of the Citadel was badly damaged and was rebuilt in 1821. This, and in particular the manufacture and filling of bullets, is the subject of our one-hour lecture at this historic location. The showroom was built with funds from the local history association and is now only open to the public during lectures or as part of guided tours.
