Prince Carl of Prussia (1801-1883) was the third-born son of King Frederick William III and Queen Luise. Unlike his older brothers, he never ascended to the Prussian throne. At his summer residence in Glienicke, however, the prince devoted himself to his garden and his passion as an art collector.
