In January 2001, the Oranienburg Palace Museum opened its newly installed permanent exhibition for the first time. Since then, precious works of art from the 17th and 18th centuries tell of the history and passion for collecting of the Brandenburg-Prussian ruling house. At the heart of the permanent exhibition are the former residents of the palace - Louise Henriette of Orange, the Great Elector and Frederick I. Paintings, porcelain, tapestries and furniture bring their time to life and take visitors far beyond the reign of the time with their origins and history.

To mark the 25th anniversary, we are focusing on 25 selected works. Various themed tours tell of power, politics, courtly representation and personal destinies. And they tell of the global connections of the 17th century, cultural transfer, but also of the terrible exercise of power.Translated with DeepL
