Unusual perspectives and depictions of architecture were an essential aspect of experimental photography at the Bauhaus. Urban space was also an important motif for the women Bauhaus photographers. Their novel points of view and experiments with lighting and shadow serve as the starting point of our photo walk and as inspiration for our own perspectives on Berlin’s architecture between the Neue Nationalgalerie and Potsdamer Platz. Any digital camera will do – from single-lens reflex to compact cameras to mobile phones.
On this photo walk, photographer Verónica Losantos introduces you to photo design and lighting approaches and shows you how to experimentally capture architecture with your own camera.
If you’re taking photos with your smartphone, you can also bring an SD memory card and use the museum’s camera.
