Walking Tour on Colonial Remembrance: from Wilhelmstraße to the "Asian Pacific Streets"

Street names and memorial steles in different parts of Berlin serve as reminders of the city's colonial past. The walking tour starts at Wilhelmstraße (Mitte) and leads to the temporary memorial stele exhibition "Paths of Remembrance" in Wedding. Along the memorial steles, which highlight anti-colonial resistance fighters and movements, the city walk opens up new perspectives on German colonial history.

The tour invites participants to understand public space as a site of learning and remembrance and to critically engage with colonial continuities within the urban landscape. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for exchange and discussion.
