Paper Layers

Bark, Fiber, Form

Paper is already a form of nature: compressed, smoothed and transformed. In this workshop, we return to its origins and reconsider its malleability: where does paper come from, and what does it become when we take it apart again?

Through tearing, layering and overlapping, tree-like structures emerge in postcard format. Fragments come together to form new surfaces of bark, creating dense landscapes of fibers, edges and spaces in between.

The resulting works resemble small reconstructions of nature, not as representations, but as forms developed from the material itself.
