What did it mean to grow up as the child of a famous artist couple in walled-in West Berlin? The author and daughter of Helma and Wolfgang Petrick reads and talks about the politically turbulent years of her childhood, which shaped her parents and her in very different ways.

Nina Petrick (* 1965) studied German and art history and has worked as a freelance author for various publishing houses and radio stations. She received the 'Peter-Härtling-Preis' for her first novel 'Die Regentrinkerin'. Since then, she has published numerous audio and reading books and is a member of 'Spreeautoren', an association of Berlin children's book authors and illustrators Nina Petrick lives in Berlin with her husband and daughter.
