Lecture SeriesWe are breaking new ground in biomedicine through interdisciplinary research. Techniques from chemistry and biology are combined and used to visualize cell structures using microscopy. This enables the localization of proteins relevant to various disease states and helps us better understand and track them.Upcoming LecturesOctober 6, 2026: “ Blood Stem Cellsand Cancer: How Single-Cell TechnologiesOpen New Pathways to Personalized Medicine,” Speaker: Dr . Simon Haas (Group Leader, Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology, Max Delbrück Center)November 4, 2026: “Plastic in the Brain: Nanoplastics Are Also Found in Our Brain. What Impact Does This Have on the Cell Functions of Our Central Organ?”, Speakers: Paula Leupold, Florian Bartsch, Georg Braune (Ph.D. students in the Nikolaus Rajewsky Research Group, Max Delbrück Center)December 1, 2026:“ WhatCocaine Does to Our Brain—Epigenetic Changes in the RewardSystem,” Speaker: Dr . Christoph Thieme (Epigenetic Regulation and Chromatin Structure Research Group, Max Delbrück Center)January 5, 2027: “Is There Genetic Engineering Involved? Genetically Modified Organisms in Animal Feed and on Our Plates,” Speaker: Prof. Ralf Einspanier (Retired Professor of Veterinary Biochemistry at Freie Universität Berlin (FUB))The lecture series is open to everyone!Attendance at a lecture can count toward continuing education; we will provide you with a certificate of attendance upon request.Register at Image © Stephen Marino, MDC, Daumke Lab, 2014Translated with DeepL
