Kupferner Ring mit einem Herz und Initialen aus dem Zwangsarbeitslager Berlin-Köpenick – Ein schmaler, grünlich oxidierter Ring mit unregelmäßiger Oberfläche. Die Ringschiene ist dünn und wirkt stellenweise uneben. Auf der Vorderseite befindet sich eine herzförmige Platte mit zwei eingravierten, senkrechten Linien. Die Patina deutet auf ein altes oder antikes Schmuckstück hin.

Archaeological excavations at Köpenick railway station have unearthed the remains of a previously unexplored Reichsbahn forced-labour camp. 

Köpenick railway station is currently being converted into a regional station. Archaeological excavations took place in the run-up to the construction work. This is because, during the Second World War, there were around 15 barracks along what is now Stellingdamm, in which over 800 forced labourers were housed. The excavations, led by Gregor Döhner, revealed extensive architectural traces of the camp. 

The event will begin with an introductory lecture by Roland Borchers on forced labour in Berlin.
