“Leipzig in the Fall” (1989)

Movie Night and Discussion

What does it mean when people raise their voices together?

To mark the 37th anniversary of October 9, 1989, we are screening the documentary “Leipzig in the Fall” (1989), which provides a close-up account of the events surrounding the Monday demonstrations in Leipzig. Afterward, we invite you to join us for a discussion about the film, the events, and what they mean to us.

Our guest will be filmmaker and eyewitness Gerhard Kroske.

The event takes place as part of the temporary exhibition “Voices—An Exhibition Experiment Between the History of Democracy and the Present.”

Location: b-ware Ladenkino, Gärtnerstraße 19, 10245 Berlin
