A Nazi forced labor camp was located in Tegel-Süd, on the site at Billerbecker Weg 123 A, from 1942 to 1945. It was run by a subsidiary of the Borsig company and was one of the largest camps in Berlin with a capacity of 1,500 inmates. Buildings from the camp period have been preserved to this day as stone witnesses to Nazi forced labor. A district memorial was inaugurated here in spring 2010.

The guided tour explains the history of the site as a forced labor camp and its later use as a gardening school. The memorial room displays objects relating to the everyday life of the forced laborers.Translated with DeepL
