Accompanying Program for the Exhibition “More than Beauty”
During a guided tour of the exhibition “More than Beauty,” we’ll draw inspiration from the artworks and then create our own pieces centered on body imagery. In the tradition of artist Hannah Höch, we’ll create new beings by collaging body fragments found in fashion, gardening, and art magazines. These creations aren’t meant to conform to social conventions, but rather to spring from our own imagination. Anything goes and everything is welcome—cephalopods, hybrid creatures combining humans, animals, and sculptures, or a being with a thousand mouths. Those who wish can playfully decorate their work with paint and brushes—true to the motto: Body, Cult, Collage.
The workshop takes place in the YOUNG format as part of the Action Week of the Municipal Galleries of Berlin.Translated with DeepL
