Japanese bookbinding brings paper and thread together in a visible expression of calm and precision. Every stitch follows a rhythm, and every binding creates a pattern of line, tension, and structure.
In this workshop, participants create hand bound books in which the act of binding itself becomes part of the design. Using paper, needle, and thread, we explore traditional binding techniques and create individual objects that exist between craftsmanship, graphic design, and book art.
