Paper Dive: Collaged Underwater Worlds from Recycled Paper

In her artistic practice, Linnea Zimmermann works with found and used materials as surfaces for painting, as well as old paints, varnishes, and, in some cases, waste. Her work develops through an experimental and playful process of exploring and experimenting with the things that are already there.

Paper surrounds us everywhere, for example as packaging for food and other products. Yet it often goes unnoticed. In this workshop, we take a closer look at this material and discover its unique properties, colours, patterns, and textures. In this context, every scrap of paper can become valuable. This year’s Sustainability Action Days focus on water, which also plays an important role here. Water is an essential resource in paper production, including the recycling process. Through the creative process, we aim to raise awareness of what can be created from found materials without the need to produce something new.

Together, we give these everyday materials a new meaning and invite you to experiment and explore. Feel free to bring along your own found materials, such as interesting packaging.
