Guided tour with object descriptions for blind, visually impaired and sighted people "Nature and German history"

Once a month and on special occasions, education officers give public guided tours with detailed descriptions of the exhibits and exhibition rooms. Topics such as the medieval idea of the unity of creation, the systematic economic use of raw materials that began in the early modern period and the emergence of the idea of sustainability are covered. Tactile objects integrated into the exhibition, such as Maria Sybilla Merian's depiction of the metamorphosis of the silkworm moth, enlargements of radiolarians and olfactory and audio stations, help visitors to experience the exhibition content with multiple senses. Visually impaired, blind and sighted people are invited to share their experiences.

The tour can also be booked by groups and school classes.
