Guided tour (in German) of the garden and architecture on the Open Monument Day.
The Georg Kolbe Museum was designed by Ernst Rentsch in 1928/29 as an architectural ensemble for the sculptor. It is the only surviving studio building of the 1920s in Berlin. Georg Kolbe envisioned the ideal of an „open-air working space“ for the garden in the middle of his studio house ensemble. The sculptor created a special symbiosis of architecture, nature and sculpture in the interplay of light. As a part of the exhibition everybody. With Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz, EVA & ADELE, Carolyn Lazard, Monilola Olayemi Ilupeju, Janne Kummer, Luís Lázaro Matos and Lauryn Youden. a performance festival will take place on the same day. Admission is free for both.
