Marina Abramović, one of the most influential performance artists to date, will present Balkan Erotic Epic. The Exhibition at the Gropius Bau. The focus is on her ongoing interest in rituals, eroticism, death and the body as a site of political resistance. Based on the folklore of the Balkans - the region where Abramović grew up - the exhibition interweaves filmic and sculptural installations with live performances. Abramović explores eroticism as a bridge between life and death, connecting the self and the cosmos.
