Guided Tour for Children and Families: “Of Water, Forests, and Meadows”

How has nature shaped the lives of societies, and how have conceptions of nature changed over the past 800 years? This interactive tour, featuring creative hands-on activities and research tasks, invites families with children to explore the relationship between humans and nature.
On the one hand, the children venture into fairy-tale forests populated by dwarves, giants, and animals; on the other hand, they see mountains where people once searched for silver. They’ll learn about naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian’s passion for butterflies and discover how microscopes opened up new worlds—or why people used to eat moss.
Registration for the guided tour is available at the ticket office starting 30 minutes before the tour begins; space is limited.Translated with DeepL
