Guided English Tour “Objects. History. Stories. Reviewing the Collection”

A tour of this exhibition offers a glimpse not only of the museum’s collection but also of the stories behind the objects from various eras: from the Middle Ages to the present day. Against what political backdrop were these objects created? How and why did they find their way into the museum’s collection? What can they tell us about historical spaces, events and processes? Medieval armour, a 17th-century engraved ostrich egg, or fragments of mining machinery and tools – like all the other exhibits, they tell stories and bear witness to history.
