Max Liebermann spent his summers with his family in his summer house on Lake Wannsee. In the spirit of Impressionism, he preferred to work outdoors (plein air) in order to capture light, colors and moments directly.
Nature itself became his studio: in the midst of his blossoming garden and with a view of the lake, he created numerous works in the open air, the motifs of which can be rediscovered in the garden today.
The exhibition "In Focus: Max Liebermann's Pastels. The World in Chalk" is dedicated to Liebermann's enthusiasm for the lightness and special colorfulness of pastel chalk.
In our garden studio, we invite young and old on an artistic journey of discovery!
Of course, we will also get creative ourselves: using pastels and mixed media, we will be inspired by the play of light between the trees, the colors of the flowers and the hustle and bustle of the greenery and capture our impressions of colors, shapes and moods. Finally, we will finish off the works we have created with self-made picture frames made from natural materials from the garden.
Regular museum admission applies (free for children).Participation in the workshop is included. The number of participants is limited. Please register at:Translated with DeepL
