Full Moon Tour

Das alte Berlin bei Nacht. – Nachtaufnahme des alten Berlin

Das alte Berlin bei Nacht. – Nachtaufnahme des alten Berlin

A moonlit stroll through old Berlin: here, tales of the night come to life and familiar sights are seen in a new light.

When the moon casts its light over the rooftops of the Nikolaiviertel, onto the waters of the Spree or the towers of St Nicholas’ Church, the familiar suddenly seems unfamiliar. The guided tour takes you on an exploratory journey where tales of Berlin’s everyday life come to life. For example, from the pub ‘Zum Nußbaum’, the original of which on Fischerinsel was once frequented by Heinrich Zille. Or the story of ‘Nacht-Emma’ from the Knoblauchhaus, one of the last surviving 18th-century townhouses in Berlin.

The tour also rewards participants with unique night-time views, for example from the statue of the dragon-slayer Georg towards Berlin Palace, or from the Mühlendamm Bridge towards the Cathedral.
