Forced Labor and Labor Exploitation Under Nazism and Today

Workshop

Forced labor and labor exploitation have taken various forms throughout history. During the Nazi regime, some 13 million men, women, and children in the German Reich alone were forced to perform labor under inhumane conditions.

Even today, labor exploitation and forced labor occur on a large scale in some industries in Germany and form the basis of their business models.

This workshop focuses on these issues and their underlying patterns, sharpening participants’ awareness of exploitative labor conditions in both their historical and contemporary forms.
