Family Programs for Children and Teens

On seven Family Sundays, the Jewish Museum Berlin invites families with children aged six to sixteen to join shared discovery tours. From June to December, the museum offers free workshops, guided tours, and other creative activities on one Sunday each month – inviting participants to listen, explore, and take part. Topics range from food and Jewish holidays to architecture and art, as well as history, literature, music, and everyday culture.As a special highlight, admission to the temporary exhibition The Opposite of Now. Artistic Paths to a Different Present is free on all Family Sundays from September through December 2026.

10 am–1 pm: Simple Museum: An Inclusive Family Program About the Jewish Religion With Bread Baking (Plain Language in German)

10 am–5 pm: Rainbow Questions – A Noah’s Ark Bicycle for Everyone (in German)

10 am–6 pm: Book Table – Anchor Texts / Key Works

11 am–12 pm: Between the Lines. Architecture Tour for Teens and Adults (in German)

11 am–2 pm: Word. The Meaning of Words in Judaism – Workshop for Children Ages 7 and Up and Families (in German)

11 am–5 pm: Time to Rest in Images – Comic Workshop for All Ages (in German)

12–1 pm: Public Tour of the Temporary Exhibition (in German)

1–2 pm: Between the Lines. Architecture Tour for Teens and Adults

2–2.45 pm: Public Tour of the Temporary Exhibition with “Books“ (in Russian)

2–5 pm: Doing and Not Doing in Judaism – Workshop for Children Ages 7 and Up and Families (in German)

3–3.45 pm: Public Tour of the Temporary Exhibition with “Books“ (in German)

4–4.45 pm: Public Tour of the Temporary Exhibition with “Books“
