Family Open Lab - ideas for the future of democracy

Drop-in workshop

What will the democracy of the future look like? At the Futurium Lab, you have the opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

In this format, you can develop your own ideas and visions for desirable futures. What do you want from the democracy of tomorrow? Using the laser cutter, you will create stencils, spray stencils, to bring your demand into the real world. In a fictitious scenario, it's all about democracy and AI applications with facial recognition. To protect your own identity from this observation and facial recognition, you can design anti-face recognition masks and camouflage them with different patterns.

Our mentors will be on hand to help you implement your ideas and show you how the laser cutter works. There will also be helpful learning materials to support you.

The drop-in format is open and differs from traditional workshops. We plan for you to spend around 20 minutes in the lab to get your first taste of the technology and the topic of the future. If it is particularly busy, it is possible that not all participants will be able to try out all the stations. So be flexible and take the opportunity to get involved in the exciting topics!
