Bring your flashlights and let’s discover the traces of the Berlin Wall—both big and small—together! On our family tour, we’ll explore the stories of families who lived in divided Berlin and ask ourselves: What does freedom mean? How does democracy shape the way we live together? And what opportunities do people have to help shape their own future?

Through remnants of the Wall, photographs, and personal life stories, we’ll learn why the Berlin Wall was built and how it changed the lives of so many people. We’ll reflect on how families maintained hope, courage, and solidarity during the era of division—and how people ultimately initiated change themselves and brought about the fall of the Wall.
