QUEEN OF THE STARS - Grimm’s Allerleirauh - retold

When consumption claims the life of the fairest maiden in the land, the duke of the realm decides to marry Princess Nala instead. She attempts to escape the forced marriage through a ruse. Through a pact with the cruel Sídhe, the mad ruler forces her to keep her false promise. Unexpectedly, the fairies of the forest offer her a way out—three gowns imbued with the magic of the stars. But these beings rarely help out of the goodness of their hearts...

DREAMMACHINE

The era of nations is over; global corporations rule through vast capital and cold calculation. The world is a boundless market where a life is merely a matter of price. Seth and his sister Artemis live outside the overcrowded megacities, whose inhabitants eke out an existence in tiny living pods. When the two save the life of a street boy, they unexpectedly find themselves caught between the fronts of the military corporations. Although the corporations’ doctors have stripped their protégé of nearly all humanity, the two feel an even stronger connection to him than they do to each other. A better life suddenly seems within reach, but the price is far higher than any single person can afford...

About the Author

E. F. von Hainwald opened a new chapter in his life with his debut in 2017. He originally worked in the visual arts, focusing on photography, design, and illustration. Writing, however, opened up entirely new possibilities for him to bring his ideas closer to people. His fantasy trilogy about the Children of Light was first self-published and has been nominated for reader awards multiple times. With the science fiction novel "Cyberempathy," he broke new ground and captivated a wide range of readers with this unconventional story. He now publishes with several publishers, and his name is synonymous with refreshingly unique stories.

The reading will take place in the attic of a medieval half-timbered house and is therefore unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
