Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation – Insights into the Documentation Centre

The tour provides an insight into the permanent exhibition. We shed light on the causes and consequences of forced migrations based on political, ethnic and religious grounds, especially in the 20th century in Europe and beyond. The focus is on the displacement and expulsion of Germans during and after the Second World War and the associated culture of remembrance.
