Botanical Printing: Fibre on Paper

Leaves, branches, and plants carry unique shapes, lines, and textures within them. Collected plant materials become printing tools: using a brayer, ink, and paper, we bring out the delicate details, surfaces, and patterns found in nature.

By experimenting with different plants, arrangements, and printing techniques, participants create individual paper works in which the fibres of nature meet the fibres of paper. Small natural finds become surprising images, somewhere between impression, texture, and composition.
